Cornwallįilming took place throughout Cornwall but the highlight was National Trust site Holywell Bay Beach. The British War of the Roses and other historic events are said to have influenced the author in his storylines.
George RR Martin has said in multiple interviews that the landscape of Westeros mimics that of the United Kingdom so it is no surprise that locations across the country suit the show. A medieval camp was set up at Caesar's Camp in Aldershot in late September 2021.
